Overview
Phase 1: Access Door Control Installation – Awalet3
To improve building access management and security, a Hikvision Access Door Control system was deployed.
Key Deliverables:
- Installation of a Hikvision biometric door access device
- Configuration of multiple access methods: fingerprint, facial recognition, and card authentication
- Integration of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to maintain access functionality during power outages
- Full system testing and verification to ensure optimal performance
Phase 2: IT & Security Infrastructure Expansion
To support surveillance and wireless connectivity, RemedyIT Services implemented a structured cabling system across the campus.
Key Deliverables:
- Conduit pipe installation to support the routing of coaxial, network, and fibre optic cables
- Camera System Installation:
- 8 cameras in the Facilitation Room (Top Floor)
- 31 cameras on the Ground Floor
- Total: 39 camera viewpoints for comprehensive coverage
- Wireless Access Points (APs):
- 3 APs in the Facilitation Room
- 2 APs on the Ground Floor
- Total: 5 strategically installed access points for optimised wireless coverage
Outcome
With enhanced access control and a fully integrated IT and security infrastructure, the Design and Technology Institute now benefits from improved security, seamless connectivity, and a foundation for future technology expansion.
